If you are making a photobook, then you need to allow for the trim area regardless of whether you have designed it in Photobook Designer or made layouts in another program. We have to cut the entire book in one go, so if there is a tiny bit of white space showing then we need to trim the whole book again. We do our best not to trim much off, but if the double sided pages don't line up 100% then you will lose more off one side than the other.
Template 1 is a full bleed page, so goes right to the edge of the page.
If you are a scrapbooker, then you would be better to contact me at info@myreflections.com.au and ask for me to send you a blank PSD file. Then you can do what you like with the entire jacket. The dust jacket designer in our program is basic and designed to be quick and easy for people with limited time and skills. If you don't have Photoshop, then I can give you the measurments for your usual program.
The cover of the book is plain and doesn't have the design on it.
